New iPhone just around the corner

Unofficially dubbed iPhone 5, the latest phone by Apple has the rumour mill in overdrive. It is touted to be announced on September 12 and launched in the US on Sept 21. The new iPhone is important for a number of reasons. Firstly, it's the first post-Jobs iPhone (the iPhone 4S was more of a facelift than a new model) and needs to step change the smartphone market, as Samsung are hot on Apple's heals. Secondly, the entire mobile payments industry has been waiting with baited breath as to whether Apple will include contactless NFC technology in the new iPhone. Many believe that Apple's decision will be the tipping point for contactless payments.  To read more click here.
