The UK's first virtual supermarket has launched at Gatwick
Airport in a bid to encourage holidaymakers waiting for their flights to
order a delivery for when they return.
Tesco has decided to implement this in order to cash in on the rise of smartphone users and has set up 10 screens in the airport's departure lounge with images of its most popular products. This echoes the activity they ran in Korea turning tube stations into virtual stores. (http://bit.ly/Tjv8pZ) To read more about the virtual supermarket at Gatwick click here. |
